Peace Kisses

No its not a new Christmas greeting, Peace Kisses are the gorgeous rainbow light,
that has been cast upon my friend Ericos' cheek.
Celebrating friendship, this layout was like a renewal of creative faith for me.
A catalyst that reminded me Why I scrapbook and Why I love creating in this format.
The colour, textures, and elements and I get to highlight my pieces with
Awesome Words or Whatever Chipboard pieces .
Hi Lisa Here , with a December update that has nothing what so ever to do with Christmas :)
When I create I like keep it fairly simple in elements ,of course paint /inks /texture are essential for my unique style , but when it comes to embellishments, I don't tend to go overboard either.
Which is why I absolutely love the individual Words or Whatever chipboard words.
I am not one to use Cliches and over used titles. So these words are perfect to mix and match and create ones own unique titles.

With this next piece ,I have used the new Ruby Claire / WOW wine glass stencil,
first off i created my background with Teal acrylic paint , a little black house paint drips and let the piece dry. Using a little Prima crackle texture paste I stenciled the wine Glasses on to the page. ho hum a little more drying time . Stamping and scribble to complete the background, the layering, blocking of the photo and the elegant WOW ornate flourish to highlight my journaling.
yet again , keeping my journaling to a minimum.
Thanks for dropping by, I hope your feeling a little inspired to go create something new .
Peace Kisses to you all xxx

When the chipboard is the hero

Not long to go before the big fella arrives, December is seriously a blur!

I've got a few pages to share with you today and yes there is still another snow pages to share but that will be the last for a while as I have exhausted my chipboard snowflake stash.

The first page is my DT take on the very latest Stuck?! sketch that was revealed yesterday. I've been busting to show you this one.

Just chillin

I have used the new release chipboard title 'Just Chillin' and large Snowflakes to embellish my page. The chipboard has been base-coated with gesso, then half inked with blue Brilliance Ink. The remaining chipboard has been covered with Diamond Stickles for a little sparkle. I have allowed the Stickles to completely dry and then applied a thick coat of Glossy Accents.

Some simple chipboard pieces shine on the next page. Some birds from the Mini Bird Pack have been covered with grey ink and then a nice thick coat of Glossy Accents.

Don't get your tinsel in a tangle

I have used the chipboard Christmas Owl and coloured it with Distress Paint and some Stickles

The Wood Veneer Christmas Pack is perfect for embellishing the page. I have covered the two pieces with Glossy Accents

Steam PUNK Flava!!!

I love steam punk style, so I thought I would do the front of my new 6 x 8 journal.

I first covered it using matte gel medium and paper doily.

I embossed my chipboard piece with rust coloured powder.

I decided to cut off the elastic closure too. I then went to town with my paper and fabric flowers and my metal charms and pieces.

A fun way to alter the look of you WOW chipboard

Hi Guys!!
I hope your having a great week and getting some creative time squeezed into this busy time of the year!!Today I wanted to share with you a way you can alter the look of your chipboard elements on your pages, Remember you can always trim up the chipboard with a craft knife to suit your style...

        12x12-Interconnecting-Squares-WOW1187

I started off using the Interconnecting Squares 12x12 chipboard and trimmed it to suit the design I had in mind.

I then coated it in Gesso and let dry

Next I ran the chipboard through the Big Shot using an embossing folder. Once that was done I coated it in Versamark ink and then embossing powder and set it with the heat gun.

Once it had cooled I inked it with black stayzon ink the re melted it with a heat tool, to create a cool marbled effect.
I then slapped some paint onto my card stock and let dry. Once it was dry I arranged everything on my page and got it positioned right before glueing it all down.

Nothing was wasted with my chipboard that I had cut up for the background as you can see by these little squares and arrows which I then painted lime green.

I have also been busy playing with some new releases that have come my way. I used some fun summer time chipboard elements on this layout.

Thats all from me today thanks for stopping by, I encourage you to give this technique a go and don't forget to share it over on our Facebook page WOW Creations

Have a great Day!

Some WOW Goodness And A Little Prima Lyric

Good morning, Tania with you to share a couple of projects using lots of yummy WOW products.

First up is a layout!

To create my background I started by using the 6 x6 Moroccan Stencil ALTA138 with some texture paste and randomly applied it on my page.

Once that was dry I grabbed a couple of Heidi Swapp Colour Shine sprays similar colours to my patterned papers and sprayed these over my page.

I also took the spray top off so I could drip some large spots over my page.

Next up I took one of Kaisers stamps, the grid pattern and randomly stamped it over my page with black ink.

I cut up a piece of WOW Chicken wire WOW1636 which I left raw and then positioned this on my page.

I then started to put my page together by embellishing it with lots of yummy blooms and a butterfly or too.  My other two pieces of WOW Chipboard that I used on this page was the word "Stunning" WOW2095 which I sponged which gesso, and the Groovy Frames WOW1867 which were sprayed with Heidi Swapp sprays also.

A few close ups of my page :)

Next up to show you is a couple of cards I made using some of my left over papers.

The yummy WOW products that I used are the Mini Hearts & Wire Panel WOW2257 and a New Release panel which I painted with black paint, 6 Inch Mesh Border WOW2135 which I left raw and lastly the WOW Groovy Frames WOW1867 which I sponged a couple of coats of Gesso over them

Well that's I from me today. Until next time thanks so much for stopping by.

Don't forget to share all your gorgeous creations with us on our WOW Creations Facebook Page and also be sure to check out our latest challenge too, both can be found here.
