Sue's Week - Canvas

Hi there bloggers....Sue here again! Are you sick of me yet?

Today is the last day of 'My Week' here on the blog and today I want to share a canvas I made featuring the WOW chipboard Chandelier #1.

This chandelier is 13cm long and just over 12cm wide and I had lots of fun grunging it up to suit the rest of the canvas.

To get these effects on the chipboard, I painted it with a few layers of paint, including some metallic paint.
I then painted on some Versamark from a re-inker bottle in random places, added some metallic-coloured embossing powder and applied heat. I kept applying heat until some of the surfaces bubbled up, and then sprinkled some UTEE (ultra thick embossing enamel) over the top, but didn't apply any heat so that the the UTEE stayed grainy.

Thanks for joining me for My Week on the WOW blog. I hope I have inspired at least some of you to get crafting.

Tomorrow on the blog, the WOW Design Team will be showing you their take on this month's challenge, so be sure to pop in for that one!

Sue's Week - 'Another photo?!'

Today I have another layout to share with you using a beautiful WOW chipboard frame....

As soon as I saw this frame, I knew it would suit a totally girly layout.

This Circle Frame comes in 2 pieces with the inner circle detaching from the delicate frame which gives you the choice of mounting your photo (or a title) directly onto the circle, or as I have used it by placing the empty frame over the top of a photo.
I embossed the frame with a sparkly white embossing powder.

Words Or Whatever have a huge range of frames suitable for just about any project you can think of. You can check out the range here.
Thanks for dropping by the blog today...be sure to pop in tomorrow to see what else I have been up to!

Sue's Week - 'Such A Fun Day'

Hi everyone...Wednesday already! And that means we're halfway through my week here on the WOW blog. Today I'm sharing a layout I did using the Curly Wave Borders which suited the beachy photo I wanted to scrap.

These great borders are 6" long and come in a pack of two....

All I did to them was just lightly stamp them with a 'Pinecone' inkspot and cut one of the borders to make 2 different lengthed pieces.

Thanks for stopping by the blog, and stay tuned for some more of my shares including another couple of videos if I get them edited in time. Have a wonderful Wednesday everybody!

Sue's Week - 'Before My Time'

Hi everyone! Sue here again.
Just a quick share today of a layout I did with a 60 year old photo of my parents, brother and sister taken years before I was born.
Naturally I needed to go with a vintage feel for the layout, and I thought that this particular WOW flourish suited the layout beautifully. All I did to it was unevenly ink it with a vintage brown colour to give it that aged look.

The name of the flourish is the Chloe Flourish. I just love all it's intricate flowing swirls....

Thanks for dropping by the blog and allowing me to share my creations with you. Tomorrow there will be another 'Techniques with AltaMATZ' video so be sure to come back then and check that out!
