Hiya all, San here.

Chipboard...now I love it, the feel, the smell, the way you can manipulate it to fit a page and also the different techniques you can use to alter it.
But I hear all the time of people who arent too sure how to use it.
Here on the WOW blog...we get to see so many awesome technqiues to use on our chipboard, some simple, some difficult and some down right scarey! lol

We dont want you to be frightened of using chipboard on your projects, so on todays post, I am showing you some simple ways to alter it for effect.

This page is of a very special moment at our house, a visit from a white owl in our backyard. He sat up there, waited until I got my camera and almost posed for me.

On this page I have used the WOW circle from the Circle Set, (my favourite chipboard ever), circles can make your eye look at the photo it surrounds, it is also a very useful shape when you are scrapping boys!.
On this circle, I have simply inked it with Tim Holtz vintage photo ink and then added some small dots with dimentional paint, then when its dry...re-inked the circle.

Simpe, yet effective!

The leaf vine has been altered using oil pastels, these can be bought at the local art shops, just colour your leaves in, I have used 2 different greens and then using an awl ( pointy stick)..i then added the leaf veins. You can then cover the lot with papertole gloss.

This layout was a sketch challenge at Storybooks retreat last month, I am a stickler for exact when it comes to sketches, hence the 'storyboard kits copyright' lol

short, yet sweet....go on to your LSS...grab yourself some WOW and have a play with some different techniques, share them with us on our Facebook page or email them to Suzanne at WOW...We love to see how our chipboard get used.

Til next time.....happy scrapping all x
