same same but different!

Hi Susan here…

For my blog post this week I decided to create 2 layouts using the same “sketch” (from my head), photos from the same day, same paper range and same ALTAMATZ…

For the background effect on I have used the new 12x12 AltaMATZ 12 X 12 CHICKEN WIRE ALTA016 … for the first layout “stay loyal to you” I have used it as designed… simply spritzing over the Altamatz lightly with Mr. Heuy’s. The for the second layout “love your life” I have used it in reverse… so all you need to do is place another sheet of cardstock on the top of the already sprayed one an wipe over with your hand while the mist is still wet.

I have also included some fabulous chip pieces on both layouts … the first layout “Stay loyal to you” I have used a piece from the LITTLE ALIENS PACK 2 C1198 and on the second layout “love your life” I have used LITTLE GIRL PRINCESS PACK C1007 and MINI LEAF PACK 2 LB046.

I hope this has given you some  ideas on how to use these gorgeous products…

Inspiration Post- Design Team

Hi, it’s Wendy here again with another load of creative goodness to get your MOJO flowing, and hopefully inspire you too use some WOW on your layouts.

My layout this week showcases the title piece ‘Action Hero C901’ and also uses one of the ‘12x12 Cog Frame Set C819’pieces. I have altered the title with layers of Glimmermist in Candy Apple and Dreamsicle, to give the chipboard a two-toned effect, then i have outlined each letter with a black marker pen. I have coloured the Cog in with a black marker so it stands out in the background.IMG_3214IMG_3212IMG_3213

Susan has created this terrific boy layout, showcasing the ‘Classic Alphabet C1385’ which she has coloured red so it pops off the white background, and has used the ‘Little Boy Sillouette C1419’ to decorate her rosette which looks great. good sportgood sport1

Sandra has created a couple of masterpieces with a variety of flourishes. This one she has coloured green to give it a leafy effect.togethe

This Layout she has used her favourite chipboard piece…the ‘12x 12 Circle Frame’ and some mini Flourishestrue

Kellie has used the title piece ‘Sand Surf Sunshine C1445’ which she has painted in blue and then cut into individual words, then she has used Dimensional Magic to create the glossy finish….very nice!sand surfsand surf1

Gilly has had WOW create a personalised Off-The-Page item for her. She has had a box made to cover her sewing machine. This is how she decorated it: “I covered in pattern paper, lace and a doily, to make a special cover for my loved sewing machine.'”…so don’t forget if you need a specialised item made, just ask!sewing machinesewing machine1

Lastly, Emma has created a cute layout about her kids. She has used the title piece ‘Incredible title (RWL9448)’ which she has inked to match her paper range, and then she has used white pen to highlight the individual letters..NICE!incredibleincredible1

And she has snuck A Lil’ Somethin’ flag and bottlecap in her cluster too

Inspiration Post- Inspiration Team

WOW…LOL…where has that month gone. This is the last Inspiration post from the Inspiration Team for April. May is going to be bringing some new releases and a fantastic NEW way to WIN some products!

So lets get onto sharing some work by the talented ladies on the team

Monique has this gorgeous masculine layout. Here is what she said about it:

"Toot! Toot!" - I have used the Cog Frame Set - C819 which has been sprayed in Tattered Angels Glimmermist - Coffee Shop, and had some Prima Chalk Ink (a rusty orange) added in spots to add depth.
I also used the Cog Set Plain C729 which has been inked in the same rusty orange Prima Chalk Ink.

Lisa has created this beauty. She has used “Lovebirds on a branch C1332” and  “Girlie alphabet lowercase C1387”. And she has this TIP for us:

Tip: Colour your lettering in marker before removing them from the base, as it's much easier to handle and reduces mess.

Kaitlynne has created a gorgeous layout with her ante-natal scan image. She has used “Rapberry whirl 12 RWL9265” and “Mini leaf pack 2 LB046”

Keeping it simple

Hi all its Em here.  Today I want to share a layout with you I created using 2 of the new ALTAmatz deigns, Which Im loving BTW!  So With this layout I used the 12x12 random stars matz (ALTA006) on the base cardstock, just misting that lightly with a tattered angels spray, I let that dry and then used the new new (not yet released) cog border ALTAmatz with a different coloured spray and let that dry.  I then popped that same altalmatz back over the cog design and used it like a stencil with a thin black sharpie.  I wanted to keep the rest of the layout fairly simple so Ive just used 2 small pieces of pattern paper, some string & 2 cogs from the cog set plain (C729) then added a title with some alpha stickers and classic alphabet uppercase (C1384).  Ive kept all the chipboard raw and just inked the edges for definition.

TWO TONING CHIPBOARD

Hi, it’s Wendy here again.

Do you ever get tired of single colour inking? Want to try something a little different to give your chipboard an altered look?

I like to do ‘TWO TONING’ on my chipboard pieces. This is where you colour one half of your chip piece in one colour and the other half in another colour.

 IMG_3211

Here is a close-up of what I mean…Here I have used RED/YELLOW on the ‘school days’ piece out of the ‘School Pack C1166’, and BLACK/RED on the ‘Alphabet border RWL286’ piece.

IMG_3210

I have also used the ‘First Day Of School RWL44’ title piece altered with texta pens and the ‘Little Kids Boarder C1452’, which have been coloured with Glimmermist in Cherry Apple.

So there you have it… no excuse to leave your chipboard boring and plain. There are so many fantastic ways to alter it, just experiment and have fun with your inks, pens, paints and mists.

This week the talented Inspiration Team at WOW bring you the following layouts…

Kaitlynne has created this layout using WOW flourish and flowers , this is what she said “Flourish and little flowers were both inked then glimmermisted and finished with 3D gloss.”

Monique has created this fantastic Canvas using one of the NEW Altamatz.

This is what she said: "I have used a WOW Altamatz ALTA022 to add Texture Paste Chevrons. The Altamatz are just so amazing for adding texture paste – they are such good quality, and much thicker than other templates. I just used my finger to smear some texture paste onto my canvas – and I didn’t have to worry about the plastic moving or buckling in any way, because it is so thick! "

happy Scrapping, and enjoy your weekend.
