Little boys just love puppies.

Another WOW post from me and this time it features my son.  He's always wanted a dog and had so much fun when Treacle came to visit us for a while.

I've used Basic Grey papers, glitter thickers, and a cute WOW puppy.

To create the puppy, I wanted a mottled look. I simply coloured the chipboard with felt pens, but not too heavy - just a quick brush over the surface with the light brown.  I went over the markings with a black pen, coloured the nose and toes, and finished off with his little red tongue.

He's a cute little puppy, don't you think??

new chipboard

mmm...who doesn't love new chipboard?
I received a huge fun pack of new WOW to play with today, here is a layout I finished last night to share.

I love this photo of Ali, it shows off her beautiful curls and lovely eyes.

I have used the new 12x12 interconnecting square template...heaps of spots to add papers, embellishments and random stuff on a page.

Nothing too special done to this chip, just a wee bit of ink to the edges
I then added a chipboard vine, coloured with texta and glossy accents, topped the vine with some little handmade paper flowers.

I have used the Studio Calico 'countryside' collection paper range, with a Kaiser rubon.

So if you would like play with some WOW...get onto your lss to get some in.

...and if you really like chipboard...How about reading the dt call post (above)...and having a go!. Its worth a look, the benefits are awesome!

Til Later

New Page Display Stands!

Hi, I was really lucky to receive one of the NEW Page Display Stands which come in 3 sizes 6x6, 8x8 and 12x12, I just really love these stands as sometimes the layout gets beyond the 12x12 size as in the case of my layout below or sometimes it's nice to put your current layout on display in your home.
What I also love about these stands is they have two sides to them, for the first side I used a white wash look and added abit of bling using vintage glitter glass on some parts of the stand and the other side I inked in dark brown then added some crackle paint and to finish it off I painted some Glimmer Glaze on to the parts I wanted to highlight.
Both sides of the stand suit the layout of Milly which this photo was taken when she was about 4, by a photographer  friend Corrine Dany,
I also used the Flourish D which I cut in half and painted in brown glimmer glaze then I coated with clear rock candy crackle paint and the NEW Peacock, which was just asking to be blinged up with
vintage glitter glass.
I just love the look of Vintage Glitter Glass, but in this case It was abit too bright for the peacock so I toned it down with the brown Glimmer Glaze.
Close up of Flourish D
So keep your eyes out for these beautiful Page Display Stands in your local Scrap Store.

Oliver's Travels

Its the 2nd half of 2011 already.....where has that time gone? The same time has flown of my now 18 month old son Oliver!!

I decided for my blog post this time, I would show this very cute little MDF Mini Album - Boat. To be honest I was a little apprehensive about this project as I dont really do too many OTP projects, but once I started, it was quite fun! I decided to make it a mini album showcasing (in brief) Oliver's first 12 months of life - hence the title "Olivers Travels".

I have used the "old faithful" technique of covering the MDF with patterned paper, trimming away excess, sanding & inking the edges. Using Little Boy range, these papers were perfect - bright vibrant boy colours....Perfect!!!!!

Included on the album embellishments, I have used some cute little pieces of chipboard from the Pirate Pack which fit perfectly with the theme. They have enough detail so they didnt really need too much "attention". Simple coat of ink in matching colours and we are ready to go!!!!!!

WHAT DO YOU THINK?

Day of Birth:

First 3 Months:

Oh Boy! What a Year:

Full Album on Display!!

Thanks so much to the WOW team "play" with these fantastic products. I hope you have enjoyed my post. Just a reminder, to get yourself this product or any of the many many more fabulous chipboard and MDF products, speak to your LSS to get some ordered for you!!!
